Job Opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Assistant. This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Match Invoices to POs receipted into the system by stores.
  • Process manual invoices not receipted into the system.
  • Reconcile Creditors ledger every month-end, including outstanding receipt listing and editing accrual lists, and posting journals to the General Ledger.
  • Handle general queries and liaise with Purchasing to resolve price and quantity queries on invoices.
  • Support the processing of monthly payments in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate internal control procedures to ensure adherence, including proper signatures on relevant documents.
  • Support reviewing and paying Duty Travel.
  • Reconcile Petty Cash on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with payroll preparation, ensuring timely and efficient completion for approximately 200 employees.
  • Address payroll queries from employees as they arise.
  • Review and validate employee duty and non-duty travel expenses against receipts before processing to the bank twice weekly.
  • Update revenue returns regarding employee expenses according to new reporting requirements.
  • Cycle Counting.
  • Lead the finance team in the weekly cycle counting process, resolving any issues that may arise during the year, ensuring accurate counting of A, B, and C part numbers.
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, identifying areas for improvement.
