Key Responsibilities
  • Support R&D activities in photonic systems, optical transmission, and free space optical communications.
  • Design and develop photonic and free space optical systems and sub-systems for high-speed communication applications.
  • Conduct experiments to support testing related to optical/photonic systems with free space optical transmission channels.
  • Develop simulation models for satellite and terrestrial optical transmission system design, advanced modulation, and satellite link budget analysis.
  • Laboratory-based characterization and testing of optical and photonic components, including for the space environment.
