Construction Project Coordinator

Project Coordinators play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project coordination from finalised bid submission to RIBA Stage 5 design completion, guaranteeing client requirements, standard practices and specifications are adhered to while maintaining commercial viability.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategically manage the design process of projects, incorporating value engineering and rationalisation of designs to enhance buildability and commercially viability.
- Lead the mechanical design coordination process from RIBA Stage 3 through to Stage 5, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with appointed design partners in developing designs in accordance with Employer's Requirements and in line with our bid submissions.
- Conduct thorough technical audits, feasibility studies, and risk reviews of mechanical services.
- Prepare, manage and distribute information release schedule documents.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role, with a proven track record and experience in all aspects of M&E installations and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water, heating, domestic services, ventilation, fire protection, and controls.
- Competence in reviewing and interrogating design calculations, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to work to a plan to avoid disappointments.
- Understanding of BREEAM, LEED, and sustainable building principles.
- Good interpersonal skills to create meaningful reciprocal relationships with both colleagues and clients.
