Quality Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality management system for large-scale rail infrastructure projects.


This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of quality assurance and control principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, international standards, and project specifications throughout all project phases.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain a Project Quality Plan (PQP) that meets industry standards and best practices.
  2. Oversee and manage quality assurance and control processes, including internal and external audits, inspections, and quality reporting.
  3. Ensure all works and deliverables meet specified requirements, and monitor contractor and supplier quality performance.
  4. Lead non-conformance reporting (NCR) processes, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  5. Support the development and review of method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality-related documentation.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management within infrastructure, rail, or safety-critical system projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant rail standards, including CENELEC (EN 5012x series).
  • Proven experience developing and implementing QMS on large-scale rail or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing audits, non-conformance processes, and supplier quality.
