Job Title

Retail Optical Assistant

This role involves working with customers to find and select eyewear that meets their needs.

Key responsibilities include assisting with frame adjustments, repairs, and fittings, as well as performing pre-screening eye examinations and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and processing payments.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, great communication and rapport building skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized assistance to customers and address their needs and concerns.
  • Greatly contribute to maintaining accurate customer records, prescriptions, and requirements.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team across the store.
  • Handle challenging situations confidently and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of optical products and services, including frames, lenses, and contact lenses.
  • Arrange and maintain the store's appearance, ensuring it is organized and stocked.
