Mental Health Specialist for Intellectual Disability

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist to join our Mental Health in Intellectual Disability (MH-ID) multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a core team of Psychology, Psychiatry, and Nursing professionals to provide assessments and interventions to individuals and groups, as well as support to wider systems including staff teams and families.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. A postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling psychology and minimum 2 years' experience working as a Staff/Basic Grade Psychologist with adults who have intellectual disabilities and mental health difficulties are essential requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling psychology that meets HSE requirements
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience working with adults who have intellectual disabilities and mental health difficulties
- Excellent ability to work with complex cases as part of a multidisciplinary team
