We are seeking an experienced and skilled Core Network Engineering Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work at the forefront of IoT technologies, leading a team of highly experienced telecoms engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a team of telecoms engineers to deliver high-quality results and meet company targets.
  • Overseeing the ongoing development and maintenance of a global telecoms core network infrastructure.
  • Setting objectives and conducting performance management with the team.
  • Ensuring the continuous flow of work through the team to meet business needs.
  • Evaluating 3rd party solutions and vendors for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Promoting the success of geo-redundant connectivity solutions.

Requirements

  • A strong background in people management, preferably in telecoms.
  • The ability to coach, mentor and lead an experienced team of engineers.
  • Negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with HSS, PGW, STP, DRA, PCRF, GMSC and SMSC.
  • The capacity to contribute to and guide telecoms core network infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Experience working in a NOC environment is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Kanban methodologies for workload management.
  • A proven track record in working with small teams.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to providing a high-quality professional service.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • An adaptable and flexible approach to work.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
