About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Computer Systems Technician to join our team at ICT Services. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will work on one of our customer sites in the Limerick area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive technical support services to end-users.
  2. Troubleshoot complex PC-related problems using advanced tools and techniques.
  3. Configure and troubleshoot PC and laptop applications and hardware components.
  4. Ensure the smooth operation of client environments through day-to-day technical support.
  5. Implement global standards for installing and configuring new client hardware.
  6. Coordinate and manage logged calls across all support teams to prevent potential issues.
  7. Develop and implement timely solutions for software and hardware issues.
  8. Investigate and resolve technical issues in network environments.
  9. Promote excellent customer service by ensuring client satisfaction.
  10. Work closely with remote workplace services colleagues to resolve hardware issues.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset tracking databases.
  12. Collaborate with local management teams on hardware requirements.
  13. Support a range of hardware and software products including printers, scanners, and mobile devices.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in desktop support.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software support.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure including patching and cabling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers and management.
