Mould Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards in health and safety and housekeeping. Your mission is to support production activities to optimize the output of current multi-cavity tooling in a high-volume injection moulding environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks on various multi-cavity injection mould tooling.
  • Liaise with the Production team to troubleshoot mould problems and quality issues.
  • Responsible for jigs and fixture manufacture and maintenance.
  • Inspect and measure tooling spare parts.
  • Adhere to the spare part management system and accompanying documentation.
  • Attend internal meetings to establish priorities and assigned tasks.
  • Promote a teamwork culture within the facility.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed as per company procedures.
  • Support tooling transfer processes.
Your Profile:
  • Hold a toolmaking qualification and have experience working as a toolmaker, preferably in a mould maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of latest mould tool technology.
  • Understand the injection moulding process.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or repairing/maintaining multi-cavity moulds, hot runner moulds, and valve-gated moulds is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of electrics, hydraulics, and pneumatics is advantageous.
  • Apply lean principles and problem-solving techniques.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques effectively.
  • Have knowledge of various plastics and mould types.
  • Computer literacy (e.g., SolidWorks, MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is an advantage.
