Job Title: Health Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our team as a Health Assistant.

  • Location: Meath and surrounding areas for HSE clients
  • Job Type:* Full-time/Part time

This is a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals and service users. As a Health Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with patient care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient care tasks such as bathing, dressing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Assist with daily day to day tasks, heating and serving meals in accordance with dietary requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families and health care team members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Light Housekeeping such as laundry, cleaning and tidying to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Assist with mobility issues, such as transferring, walking or using mobility aids.
Requirements:
  • Relevant healthcare qualification - QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or Care of the older person and care skills or working toward
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with medical software and electronic health records
