A leading contractor requires an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for their operations in Limerick.

This role contributes to maintaining a secure and compliant work environment, encouraging proactive safety practices.

Key Tasks:

  • Carry out workplace inspections and audits as directed by the BU HSE Manager.
  • Visit accident and incident sites, support investigations, or lead investigations when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the HSE Manager to prepare Health and Safety reports for the BU MD.
  • Inform the HSE Manager of any Health and Safety concerns.
  • Offer guidance on Health and Safety to tender and prequalification teams as needed.
  • Participate in start-up meetings with your line manager and site teams.
  • Attend supply chain meetings upon request.
  • Provide essential Health and Safety training to maintain compliance and enhance safety awareness.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction sector.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Health and Safety specialist.
  • Knowledge of temporary works.
  • Internal audit experience.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and performance management skills.
