Automation Engineer Role

Are you passionate about smart manufacturing and digital transformation? Do you want to revolutionise how factories work through IIoT and Industry 4.0?

As an Automation Engineer, you will be placed in projects where you get to do meaningful work and contribute to the business.

Job Description

You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of tasks including PLC and SCADA design, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), control logic programming, control panel hardware design, and site testing & commissioning.

You'll also generate technical documentation and deal with customers to help develop your soft skills.

You'll have the chance to travel to customer sites to get involved in installation, testing, and commissioning.

Our induction programme revolves around a model for learning and development, which includes 70% on-the-job learning, 20% learning from others, and 10% formal education.

We'll support you in becoming an expert in your chosen field, backed up by formal e-learning and classroom training.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • 0-2 years' experience in a similar automation role or Work Placement.
  • Full driving license or to be achieved within 12 months of starting the role.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • PLC Programming Experience: Siemens, Rockwell.
  • HMI/SCADA Experience: Siemens, Rockwell, AVEVA, Schneider.
