The Stakeholder and Communications Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the project team to deliver stakeholder management and consent functions throughout the lifecycle of the project. You will work closely with the stakeholder lead and consents lead to develop a transparent, coordinated and efficient communications strategy for the delivery of project-wide consents.

The Project:

You will assist in developing the stakeholder management and communications requirements for the contractor(s) for the core contracts during the procurement process, and support in the evaluation of the submissions received. You will also develop the communications requirements for the major infrastructure contracts during the procurement process and provide support in the evaluation of the submissions received.

  • You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of senior project managers and other leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
  • Support the project delivery partner in their stakeholder management for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the stakeholder lead in reporting to the project board and senior governance levels on progress against the stakeholder management strategy and any material issues arising.

  • You will manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • You will possess commercial and financial acumen, experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting.
You'll Need to Have:
  • A record of engaging with statutory stakeholders for the purposes of managing the discharge of consents activities in high value rail projects or projects of a similar scale/complexity.
  • Tangible experience of driving best practice in town planning technical activities, processes, policies and standards.
  • An in-depth understanding of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural/engineering/construction sectors.
  • Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting.
  • Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector.
  • Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
You'll Also Have:
  • A BA/BSC (public relations, business or other related field).
  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience of working on projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects.
  • A knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
