Leading Global Biopharma company seeks experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team in Waterford. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and systems in a dynamic production environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repair and maintenance tasks of all Process and/or Facilities Equipment, ensuring maximum productivity while adhering to Quality and Safety Standards.

This 24/7 shift pattern role is a fixed-term contract position that requires the ability to work independently, take initiative, and assume responsibility as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Input data into the Maintenance PM System, including operation of such systems
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, assuming responsibility and taking charge when necessary
  • May be required to train others on equipment, maintenance tasks, setup procedures, and safety awareness
  • Maintain and operate all equipment to achieve maximum productivity
  • Complete duties as per relevant SOPs
  • Adhere to dress code requirements and PPE regulations
  • Conduct maintenance duties safely, reporting any issues or concerns
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are met in the maintenance workshop/facilities area
  • Document accurately and complete tasks on time
  • Demonstrate good time-keeping and attendance at place of work
  • Support team in achieving goals and targets
  • Attend team meetings as required
  • Contribute to continuous improvements across the plant
  • Support and backup maintenance teams (facilities and manufacturing) as needed
  • Communicate equipment issues/PMs/repairs accurately, reporting serious downtime
  • Comply with cGMP at all times

Requirements:

  • 2 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician in a cGMP regulated manufacturing environment (Pharma or med devices preferred)
  • Extensive understanding of utilities or maintenance facilities
  • Experience with preventative maintenance systems
  • Competent in operating and maintaining pneumatic systems and fault-finding diagnostics
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety and legal requirements for safe operation
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
