Direct Support Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with disabilities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a caring and motivated individual to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide personalized support and supervision to individuals, assisting them with daily tasks, personal care, and social activities.

  • Provide direct support and supervision to individuals to ensure their safety, engagement, and overall well-being.
  • Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Implement and follow individualized care plans, supporting each person's goals and skill development.
  • Administer medications accurately and in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Utilize approved behavior intervention techniques to assist individuals in emotional and behavioral regulation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, progress, incidents, and other required reports.
  • Foster community integration by facilitating participation in activities, events, and social interactions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Mandt (or other crisis intervention training) certification
  • Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds
