We are seeking a Senior R&D Manager to lead our R&D Lifecycle Management team. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and direction to the team, shaping the LCM function of the R&D department.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical acumen, significant experience in an R&D or product sustaining role in the medical device industry, and excellent leadership skills.
The portfolio of products under R&D LCM ownership is increasing significantly, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing interfaces between other functions, planning and supporting R&D activities required to support product lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the R&D Lifecycle Management (LCM) team and shape the LCM function of the R&D department.
- Manage interfaces between other functions, especially Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory.
- Organize and prioritize activities, including escalations, in collaboration with key functions and aligning on deliverables and timing.
- Provide direct leadership and be the source of technical expertise for a broad range of neurovascular ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke products.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality and Design Assurance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, and Marketing teams.
Requirements:
- Honours degree in Engineering or Science (desired) with strong technical acumen.
- Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) preferred.
- Significant experience in an R&D or product sustaining role in the medical device industry.
- Team leadership experience required.
- Proficiency in statistical techniques.
- Ability to work within design control systems and processes.
