Orthodontic Therapist Job Opportunity

Career Vision Recruiters – Dental have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Orthodontic Therapist. This is a full-time permanent role in a well-established specialist dental practice located in South Dublin.

This modern dental practice is well connected with public transport on numerous bus routes. Candidates must be registered on The Dental Council and have previous experience working as an Orthodontic Therapist, which is an advantage.

The ideal candidate will be a hardworking, good team player, self-motivated, flexible, reliable individual who enjoys working with a supportive dental team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and polishing teeth
  • Providing patients with oral hygiene advice
  • Taking impressions and bite registrations
  • Fitting removable orthodontic appliances, like retainers
  • Fitting orthodontic headgear, such as face bows
  • Providing advice on how to relieve discomfort while wearing appliances
  • Placing and removing orthodontic separators
  • Fitting and cementing orthodontic bands
  • Placing attachments according to the orthodontist's prescription
  • Inserting, removing and ligating arch wires and bands

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated and hard working
  • Personable, positive and enthusiastic with a strong patient care
  • A good attitude and team player
  • A great command of the English language (both written and oral)
  • The ability to exhibit a positive attitude, take initiative and always put the patients first
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced environment
  • Caring, kind, and professional
  • Excellent chair side manner
  • Attention to detail when providing treatment
