Early Childhood Management Position

 

Job Description

This role involves overseeing the daily operations of a childcare centre, ensuring efficient management and effective communication with clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in staff management and possess excellent organisational and communication skills. They will be responsible for motivating a team of qualified childcare practitioners, developing the centre, and maintaining accurate records.

The successful candidate will also act as the Designated Child Protection Liaison Person and build relationships with parents.

In addition to their technical skills, they should be able to motivate others, lead by example, and work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To execute the efficient and effective management of the centre on a day-to-day basis
  • To manage and motivate a team of qualified childcare practitioners
  • To continuously develop the centre and play a pivotal role in the promotion of the business
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all aspects of the business
  • To act as the Designated Child Protection Liaison Person in line with national guidance
  • To build relationships with parents

Personal Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3 years experience in early childhood care and education
  • Previously managerial experience
  • Proven experience of staff management
  • The ability to remain confidential at all times
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to motivate others and lead by example
  • Work as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office packages
  • Flexible, can-do attitude
  • Full, clean driver's license
  • Available to work 39 hours per week

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Level 7+ qualification in childcare and/or management
  • Knowledge of government childcare schemes
