Job Title: Senior Design Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our rail projects in Ireland. As a Senior Design Manager, you will oversee the execution of major rail projects, working with project managers and multi-disciplinary technical staff. Your expertise in managing and coordinating railway systems will be essential in ensuring compliance with project agreements, engineering/quality standards, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide engineering design management and coordination for rail projects in Ireland.
  2. Ensure compliance with project agreements, engineering/quality standards, and specifications.
  3. Plan and execute work in collaboration with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, fostering a positive team environment.
  4. Provide technical coordination between various teams during execution phases, ensuring technical and schedule requirements are met.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer in Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in design management and technical coordination.
  • 15+ years of experience in the rail sector, preferably within Ireland.
  • Experience working at all phases of project delivery, from concept to construction.
  • Strong knowledge of design, relevant standards, specifications, and local industry practices.
  • Experience of proactive business development and shaping the business growth strategy.
