Project Manager – Life Sciences Job Description

The role of a Project Manager involves overseeing all aspects of a project from commencement to completion. This includes ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets client requirements.

  • Providing leadership to the project team to drive high performance through all aspects of the project.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained at the highest possible level.
  • Understanding and being familiar with contract documents including drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Managing client expectations and ensuring they are met.
  • Tracking progress and ensuring the contract is completed on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in project management, preferably in life sciences or industrial settings. A strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders are essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in project management.
  • Life Science / Industrial experience preferred but not essential.
  • A relevant third-level degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent required.
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of current technical building regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and straight talking.
