About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Data Insights Specialist to join our team in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven professional with a strong background in data analysis to take their career to the next level.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the timeliness and integrity of core business data, with particular emphasis on index data. This involves:

  1. Maintaining the accuracy and reliability of index data.
  2. Taking ownership and responsibility for certain processes, including the investigation and resolution of incidents.
  3. Acting as one of the Index Data subject matter experts to internal data consumers and stakeholders.
  4. Gathering and creating management information data on the usage of index data across the business.
  5. Analyzing and communicating requirements from consumers worldwide and helping prioritize development.
  6. Assisting in building out Master Data Management System to master, validate, and distribute index data across.
  7. Supporting Data Services in becoming a global team, ensuring cross-training takes place and coverage exists to support BAU activities outside of normal working hours.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in data operations or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of index data, index providers, index composition, and feed file types.
  • A good understanding of valuation types, calculating returns, performance measurement, attribution, management, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with market data, reference data, spanning equities and fixed income; this includes instrument identification, industrial classifications, pricing, and corporate events.
  • A background in investment management data or financial data management.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, file handling tools, and SQL.
