Senior Manufacturing Technical Leader

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will play a key technical leadership role in Stryker's advanced manufacturing process for Hip Stems and Acetabular Cups.

This is a strategic position that drives high levels of employee engagement through effective support structures for engineers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of best practice in product/process performance within the Medical devices industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a detailed understanding of product/process performance and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Drive high levels of employee engagement through effective support structures for engineers.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to complex problems, analyzing variable factors.
  • Design system-level strategies and lead the design, development, testing, and refinement of systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to engineering personnel and recommend changes in procedures.

Requirements:

  • Level 8 Honours Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • 6+ years manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Advanced Degree desired (Masters, Black Belt, or PHD).
  • Experience in thermal spray coatings or related deposition technologies or materials science.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to technically lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, process improvement orientation, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
