The Manager Plant Role
The Manager Plant will be responsible for managing all plant operational activities at the designated site to ensure effective safe utilization of the plant equipment. This includes complying with site permit regulations and meeting customer expectations in a compliant and customer-friendly manner. The successful candidate will provide strong inspirational leadership to the operational team, playing a key role in the site's vision for continuous improvement and retaining high levels of engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support to service and maintenance teams
- Ensure optimum levels of plant/equipment performance are achieved and sustained
- Manage, train, and develop a team of multi-skilled engineers and technicians
- Lead facilities operations in line with appropriate legislation, including H&S, maintenance, standard operating procedures, working time directive, and site permit requirements
- Accountable for overall productivity within the operation, ensuring activities are cost-effective and levels of resource are managed effectively

Requirements
- 2-4 years of management experience preferred
- Experience of managing KPIs and P&L
- Experience of operating an engineering plant
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of working at a similar senior level within a complex plant function, ideally within an incineration and combustion environment
- COTC would be advantageous
- A passion for encouraging teamwork, with an innovative approach to leadership
- An inspiring leadership style, creative, and implementing new ways to improve performance and get the best out of your people
- A focus on promoting a culture where all employees are engaged
- An analytical mind-set with a good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics
- Relevant engineering/manufacturing knowledge
- Proven management experience in a diverse plant operations role
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to give clear instruction concisely and accurately
- Significant management and leadership abilities highlighted by previous experience of discipline and team management
