Strategic Risk Management Leader

The primary role of the Strategic Risk Management Leader is to provide expert guidance and oversight on risk management strategies, policies, and procedures. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining a culture of high ethical standards and transparency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Providing technical expertise and support to associates in risk assessment, mitigation, and control
  • Collaborating with global teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Conducting audits and self-assessments to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Guiding and mentoring associates in managing risks and quality issues, ensuring alignment with risk and quality management practices

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution. A proactive approach, strategic thinking, and analytical skills are also essential.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Risk Management, or related fields)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in medical affairs, clinical development, medical compliance/governance, quality assurance, risk management, or related areas
  • Strong knowledge of GxP processes and medical guidelines, with deep understanding of health authority requirements and ICH guidelines
  • Experience in self-assessments, audits, and managing CAPA
  • Ability to contribute to effective risk management and collaborative problem-solving
