The role of Operations Supervisor is a critical one, overseeing the day-to-day activities of customer-facing and operational staff. This position requires exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on improving operational performance and driving customer satisfaction.
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that standard operating procedures are followed in all areas of the location, highlighting any gaps or areas for improvement, and providing innovative solutions to address these issues. They will also maintain a presentable and well-organized station, ensuring all facilities and equipment are in excellent condition.
Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day operations, resolving operational issues, and making quick decisions on all aspects of the business. The Operations Supervisor will also ensure strict compliance with vehicle and key security, lost property, and other protocols, responding promptly to stock anomalies and unauthorized removal of telematics devices.
Additionally, this role involves managing fleet cars/vans, upgrades, and space planning, particularly during evening and weekend shifts. The Operations Supervisor will protect the business against risk by ensuring all processes regarding insurance and terms and conditions are followed by staff. They will monitor and drive customer satisfaction by ensuring all staff uphold customer service standards.
This role also includes managing daily operations for Sharebox & D2C requirements, being the point of contact for queries and requests, and addressing customer queries/complaints in a timely and professional manner. The Operations Supervisor will oversee and account for the day-to-day activities of operations assistants, conducting regular planned and unplanned audits to ensure compliance with group audit requirements.
Required skills and qualifications include problem-solving and analytical thinking, excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with reporting tools like Qlikview. A full Category B driving license for at least 2 years is also required. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
