Electrical Design Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will work on high-profile projects across various sectors including workplace, healthcare, education, historic, leisure, and residential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver innovative electrical building services design solutions from concept to handover.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to achieve project goals.
  • Support senior engineers in feasibility studies, option appraisals, scheme and detail design.
  • Contribute to sustainable design strategies, renewable energy integration, and smart building solutions.
  • Use front-end design tools and design within a Revit environment.
  • Attend site inspections during construction to monitor progress and ensure design compliance.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and project stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Chartered or Associate Engineering status (or working towards).
  • Minimum 4 years Electrical Design experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services systems.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux/Amtech, and general IT applications.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects across a range of sectors and scales.
  • Excellent communication, client-facing, and presentation skills.
  • Results-driven with high professional integrity and a collaborative mindset.
