Are you a highly skilled structural engineer looking for a challenging role? We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Structural Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is a fantastic chance to work on major structural projects, taking responsibility for the technical, managerial, and commercial aspects of your projects. You will be part of a dynamic team, reporting to the Senior Management Team, and providing leadership to project teams.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 10 years' postgraduate experience in engineering consultancy. Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland/IStructE is essential. You will also need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to apply engineering principles and codes of practice to solve complex problems.

As a successful candidate, you will have:

  • An excellent track record in delivering projects, including design, people management, project costing, budgeting, contract documentation, programming, chairing meetings, project management, site monitoring for compliance, and contributing to the handover of completed projects.
  • A strong understanding of engineering principles and a technical focus, with the ability to apply them to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent conceptual design abilities, providing robust and economical solutions in concrete, steel, timber, masonry, etc.
  • SIGNIFICANT base of IT skills, including structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA, TEDDS suite, CADS suite, STRAP, REVIT + AutoCAD skills.
  • Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project skills.
