About This Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced structural engineer to contribute their expertise to our team. As a senior structural engineer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality designs that meet the required standards. Your role will involve analyzing building structures, collaborating with architects, clients, and the wider design team, and ensuring health and safety considerations are central to your work.

You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills by supporting junior members of the team and supervising design staff. You will also contribute to the delivery of projects across their lifecycles, from inception to hand-over and beyond.

In addition, you will have the chance to work with experts from across the business to develop innovative solutions and support the delivery of a Net Zero built environment. Our collaborative culture means that you will have opportunities to share your ideas and learn from others.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about structural design, has a minimum of seven years' experience in this field, and has achieved chartership. You should have a great understanding of the Safety and Health Regulations and designer's responsibilities, as well as experience of working with the Eurocode Standards.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Civil or structural engineering degree (ideally at a Level 8 qualification level)
  • At least seven years' previous experience in this field
  • Achieved chartership
  • Great understanding of the Safety and Health Regulations and designer's responsibilities
  • Experience of working with the Eurocode Standards

To excel in this role, you will need excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver complex and technical information to engineers and non-engineers alike. You should have developed exceptional planning, organisational, and time management skills, with the capability to balance tasks and prioritise to meet tight deadlines.
