Automation Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to collaborate closely with our Digital teams and vendors/partners responsible for delivering cutting-edge automation solutions. The successful candidate will be required to review and approve design documentation, develop user requirements, partner with local site project teams, participate in commissioning and qualification activities, and implement changes following the SDLC Procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and Approve related Design Documentation.
  • Develop User Requirements for automation modules.
  • Partner with local site project teams to scope changes on automation systems.
  • Participate in commissioning and qualification activities, including FATs, loop testing, onsite commissioning and testing.
  • Implement changes following the SDLC Procedure (covering RS updates, RTM Change control, Implementation and test).
  • Evaluate software implementation for quality and safety.
  • Configure and test automation in development system as required.
  • Educate local project teams on automation standards as they relate to technology selection, system configuration, SDLC, validation, hardware, software environments, and business processes.
  • Collaborate with internal Digital departments to ensure standard and secure implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field.
  • Training completed in automation standards and 3+ years of experience in automation application.
  • Proven record of proficiencies associated with business analysis on capital projects.
  • Excellent understanding of cGMP's, SDLC methodologies, and LEAN/MPS/Sigma principles.
  • Excellent facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process and technological solutions.
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated application of S88, S95, automation scope principles, competitive decision making, and MMD IT architecture standards for optimal business outcomes.
