Senior Competitions Investigator

The Investigations & Enforcement Section is responsible for conducting thorough and effective investigations into alleged breaches of competition law.
This involves progressing complex investigations concerning serious competition offences, including price-fixing, bid-rigging, and market sharing. The successful candidate will have a leading role in investigating these matters under the CCPC's criminal and administrative enforcement regimes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting administrative and criminal investigations into potential breaches of competition law
- Establishing initial investigative steps, including drafting investigation initiation documents and undertaking day-to-day investigation and project management tasks
- Driving forward assigned cases and conducting investigative tasks while maintaining complete files of matters completed
- Representing the CCPC at national and international fora and conferences as required
Requirements include experience in legal and/or economic analysis, investigations, forensic accounting, regulatory advisory and compliance related work, fraud, and AML. Additionally, flexibility, high organisational skills, ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders, and excellent analytical, decision-making, written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills are essential.
