We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring all commercial aspects of the business are managed effectively.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing processes for regular reporting and daily/weekly commercial/QS/purchasing functions in line with business needs.
They will also streamline business operations by developing and drafting various reporting types, including internally and for investors/funders/bank monitors and others.
Additionally, they will develop business cases, including development appraisals, cost plans, and other functions with the development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement processes for regular reporting and daily/weekly commercial/QS/purchasing functions.
- Streamline business operations by developing and drafting various reporting types.
- Develop business cases, including development appraisals, cost plans, and other functions.
- Oversee feasibility appraisals, consultant procurement, due-diligence, and delivery program.
- Responsible for cost controlling costs on all projects and ensuring budgets are achieved.
- Monitor budgets and timescales, coach, mentor, and train staff.
- Report directly to and support the Managing Director on various issues.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- 10+ years post-college QS experience.
- 10+ years residential experience.
- Previous experience with developer or main contractor.
