We are seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee the smooth operation of materials on a large-scale construction site. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing logistics and leading teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Job Description

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics management. As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for:

  1. Managing the compound and ensuring all available storage areas are utilized efficiently.
  2. Booking and coordinating the delivery of materials, including communication with sub-contractors.
  3. Liaising with sub-contractors to ensure effective traffic management of all vehicles on-site and deliveries.

You will also be responsible for managing contractors' approach to each delivery, ensuring all deliveries are complete, and preventing congestion and blockage of site roads. Additionally, you will be required to manage operatives to ensure they follow health & safety protocols and work ethics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role on a large-scale construction site.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience of managing a team.
  • In-depth practical knowledge of managing loads, storage space, sub-contractors, and operatives.
