About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned software engineer to join our Enterprise Architecture and Technology Engineering team. This position offers an exciting chance to work across multiple core areas: Artificial Intelligence, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and Reuse.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement best practices for APIs, reusable components, and AI technologies, deploying them into production and continually improving them.
  • Promote MMC Tech best practices and demonstrate agreed enterprise standard technologies.
  • Incorporate reusable components into your work and contribute to those services.
  • Collaborate with developers across the organization to help them integrate reusable enterprise technologies into their applications.
  • Contribute to enterprise-level capabilities and mentor other developers on API engineering, AI, and reuse.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in backend engineering, including best practices when developing services for consumption by other developers.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional developer experiences.
  • Ability to write efficient, effective, and reusable code, as well as coach others to do the same.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Six or more years of professional experience, including a broad base of backend/server-side engineering skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience using fully-featured API gateways, container technologies, and building high-volume network services.
  • Experience contributing to cross-application code bases, libraries, or services.
