Plants Operations Manager

The Manager Plant will oversee all operational activities at the designated site to ensure the effective safe utilization of plant equipment and compliance with site permit regulations.
Manage day-to-day facility operations in accordance with license obligations, health and safety procedures, KPI targets, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide inspirational leadership to the operational team and play a key role in the site's vision for continuous improvement and retaining high levels of engagement.
- Ensure optimum levels of plant/equipment performance is achieved and sustained. Provide technical assistance and support to the service and maintenance teams.
- Adhere to company principles and standards regarding personnel, resources, procedures, and practices.
- Lead facilities operations in line with appropriate legislation, including H&S, maintenance, standard operating procedures, working time directive, and site permit requirements.
- Manage, train, and develop a team of multi-skilled engineers and technicians.
- Ensure safe operation of all activities, meeting Health and Safety legislation and Safe Systems of Work. Maintain training adherence according to Stericycle policies and statutory requirements.
- Accountability for overall productivity within the operation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and effective resource management. Budgetary responsibility for the site, managing costs in line with P&L expectations.
- Maintain communications and personal contact with staff to ensure effectiveness of operations support.
Required Education: High School or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Associate's or equivalent. Engineering degree or equivalent.
Experience (EMEAA)- 2-4 years of management experience preferred.
- Experience of managing KPIs and P&L.
- Experience of operating an engineering plant.
- Plant Maintenance
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of working at a similar senior level within a complex plant function, ideally within an incineration and combustion environment.
- COTC would be advantageous.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to give clear instruction concisely and accurately.
- Significant management and leadership abilities highlighted by previous experience of discipline and team management.
