Environmental Health and Safety Specialist Role

Our organization seeks a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) specialist to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs.

  • Develop and execute strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and corporate guidelines.
  • Oversee the Industrial Hygiene program and act as a subject matter expert.
  • Conduct occupational hygiene risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation measures.
  • Liaise with Global Health to review and specify site environmental guidelines (SEGs).
  • Collaborate with consultants to complete occupational hygiene monitoring and coordinate other related activities.
  • Manage contractors and oversee Permit to Work processes to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Provide regular metrics reports to stakeholders and ensure timely submission of monthly reports.
  • Lead bi-monthly meetings with the EHS Refresh Team to discuss progress and address any concerns.

Key Requirements:

  • A relevant third-level qualification in Science, Engineering, or EHS.
  • At least 5 years' experience in environment, health, and safety, preferably in the MedTech or Pharma industry.
  • Strong knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in EHS.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in creating dashboards, using Excel, and delivering presentations in PowerPoint.
