Job Title:

"Environmental Protection Specialist"

Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, ensuring operations meet all Environmental Health and Safety regulations.

  • Manage site EHS activities for full compliance with local national and European regulations
  • Implement and execute EHS programs and industry best practices
  • Maintain excellent site-specific EHS programs and plans
  • Provide guidance on EHS regulations to the management team and members
  • Partner with teams to manage site EHS compliance activities
  • Drive EHS compliance through audits process/equipment reviews and site inspections
  • Lead site risk reduction and environmental improvement activities
  • Manage EHS training program
  • Complete regulatory monitoring and work closely with customers
  • Lead injury and illness prevention program
  • Work cooperatively with wider resources on business projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of EHS experience in a regulated industry or engineering environment
  • Power Plant or industry experience is beneficial

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated experience in Air Water and Waste permits
  • Ability to implement and maintain Health Safety and Environmental management systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
