Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager to join our team. As a senior member of our group, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our projects.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of quantity surveying, both pre and post contract, across various sectors. This will include preparing capital cost estimates, advising on building economics, producing lifecycle cost estimates, and drafting contract packages.

You will also be responsible for providing advice on tendering procedures, developing tender evaluation criteria, and negotiating with tenderers. Additionally, you will value progress on site for interim certificates, ascertain amounts due to contractors for price variation, and determine amounts of claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing capital cost estimates and advising on building economics
  • Producing lifecycle cost estimates and drafting contract packages
  • Providing advice on tendering procedures and developing tender evaluation criteria
  • Negotiating with tenderers and valuing progress on site for interim certificates
  • Determining amounts of claims and ascertaining amounts due to contractors for price variation
Requirements:
  • A Quantity Surveying Degree is required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a consultant environment carrying out pre and post contract duties
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to produce accurate work to project deadlines
