Electrical Engineer Position

This role requires a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems design, building services design, and technical leadership. A background in electrical trade followed by an electrical services engineering degree is preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex electrical engineering projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Develop and implement electrical systems designs using AutoCAD, Eplan Cableizer, Amtech (Trimble), Revit, Lighting reality, and other relevant software.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for various projects.
  • Perform electrical load calculations, equipment selection, and power distribution design for MV and HV systems.
  • Oversee the preparation of electrical schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Develop and review electrical designs for solar and wind energy and building services MV, LV systems ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications for electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes and standards.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality assurance checks to verify system integrity.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design and implementation challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other electrical design software.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience in MV and HV electrical system design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
