Global Accounts Payable Leader

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Finance Professional to lead our end-to-end Accounts Payable operations. This is a pivotal role within the finance function, offering genuine career progression, strategic impact, and the opportunity to build a high-performing AP function with global reach.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee global Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments across all entities.
  • Standardise and optimise AP processes across regions, embedding automation and best-in-class workflows.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, IT) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of financial operations.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing AP team, including the integration of a new shared services unit in India.
  • Manage key global supplier relationships, ensuring effective issue resolution, reconciliations, and service delivery.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture with a strong focus on compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor KPIs, service levels, and reporting to ensure operational excellence and stakeholder satisfaction.
Ideal Candidate
  • A proven track record of 10+ years' experience in finance operations or shared services, specifically in Accounts Payable leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-entity or global finance teams.
  • Strong ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite highly desirable).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
  • Passion for process improvement, systems optimisation, and driving automation.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and tax requirements (e.g., VAT, RCT, Withholding Tax).
  • Proven leadership skills – capable of coaching, developing, and inspiring teams.
  • Energetic, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
