Job Title: Relief Staff Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Relief Staff Nurse. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered care to service users, ensuring their needs are met in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring the safety of service users and staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care, promoting a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in the field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of person-centered planning and working with key workers to develop care plans.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of managing aggression and de-escalation techniques.
  • Basic life support and first aid certification.
