Summary: We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our team as a Relief Staff Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting safe person-centered care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and upholding the values of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and practice nursing according to professional codes of conduct, clinical guidelines, and local policies.
- Ensure user-focused work that upholds principles of respect, privacy, dignity, fulfillment, independence, and choice.
- Participate in developing protocols and guidelines, and setting professional nursing standards.
- Be competent in relation to all relevant clinical policies and procedures.
- Deal with issues of concern or complaints sensitively and appropriately.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal input for service users.
- Act as an advocate for service users and their families, providing information to empower them in decision making.
- Co-coordinate and contribute to the selection, recruitment, and induction of new staff.
- Develop good working relationships and actively promote community presence through positive representation of the brand.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Registration with An Bord Altranais and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- A minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in a healthcare setting.
- Professional knowledge and experience in supporting people with disabilities to realize their potential.
