Senior Management Accountant Position Overview

About the Job

This leadership role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to take on new challenges and work in a collaborative team environment.

  • Owning the month-end process involves managing financial data, including P&L, balance sheet, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns, interest calculations, and working tax returns are also key responsibilities.
  • The Senior Management Accountant will support the preparation of year-end accounts for audit and liaise closely with auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Providing clear and actionable financial insights to operational teams is crucial to driving business decisions.
  • Driving cost control, margin analysis, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives are essential skills required for this role.
  • Bringing strong commercial acumen to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities is vital.
Key Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Management Accountant with:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification
  • 5–7 years of post-qualified experience in an industry setting, ideally within manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of management and financial accounting principles
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain financials to non-finance stakeholders
