Speech and Rehabilitation Specialist

A Speech and Language Therapist is required to join a multidisciplinary team in an acute rehabilitation hospital.
- This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with patients who are on their recovery journey after illness, injury, or neurological events.
As a Speech & Language Therapist, you will be assessing and treating adults with swallowing and communication difficulties.
The role involves delivering specialist dysphagia assessments and evidence-based interventions.
You will work closely with patients with neurological conditions including stroke, acquired brain injury, and progressive neurological disease.
Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) is key to providing holistic care tailored to each patient.
Educating and supporting patients, families, and healthcare staff is also essential.
Requirements- Recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy is essential.
- CORU registration is a must.
- Dysphagia qualification is also required.
- Relevant acute hospital or rehabilitation experience is necessary.
- Experience working with older adults with communication and swallowing needs is preferred.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills are required.
