Tooling Expert

The Tool and Die Mechanic position involves delivering high-quality tools and spare parts to customers. This entails maintaining and repairing tools according to standards and descriptions, as well as supporting production with tool adjustments and setups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair tools according to established guidelines and procedures
  • Support production with necessary tool adjustments and setups
  • Organize a safe and efficient work area by utilizing available tools, production facilities, materials, and equipment
Competences:
  • Ensure the release of production tools in compliance with plant safety regulations
Responsibility (area):
  • Guarantee trouble-free operations within designated work areas
  • Comply with existing company safety and environmental policies
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory
Workplace Conditions:
  • Workstation with hand tools; maintain 5S objectives for cleanliness and organization
  • Test site, test devices, measurement equipment, and process-related machines and equipment with relevant data sheets
  • Exposure to heavy sharp objects/chemicals; personal protective equipment (PPE) required (Safety shoes, Gloves, Safety Glasses)
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to stand
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds

Required skills and experience include proficiency in PC software (MS Office), knowledge in measurement technology and reading of diagrams, several years of experience in tool maintenance or metal forming (deep drawing), extended knowledge in reading of diagrams, and basic knowledge of forming tools. Additionally, the ability to understand operational correlations/processes and act appropriately is essential. The capacity for teamwork, engagement, taking on personal responsibility, logical and precise thinking are also required personal skills.
