Job Title:

Assistant Production Manager Job Description: The successful candidate will work closely with the Production Manager and Line Producer, assisting in the day-to-day management of the production and the needs and obligations of the production crew. Key responsibilities include ensuring a complete understanding of the brief, assumptions of the show, estimated outputs for each department, schedule, relevant departments required for the project, and size of the crew needed. Essential skills and qualifications include: Daily check-ins with team leads and heads of department, resolving minor issues, reporting any issues that cannot be resolved or will impact the show's schedule, crew performance, welfare, or quality of work, accurately breaking down episodes into elements of character, props, FX, and backgrounds, tracking individual crew members' schedules, communicating with clients regarding production materials. As a senior member of the Production team, providing leadership, mentorship, and regularly monitoring individual crew performance is crucial. Documenting performance clearly and providing feedback to crew, building and maintaining crew morale, and setting SMART goals/objectives to enable the crew to meet expected standards of performance are also key aspects of the role.
