As an Associate Director – Transport Planning, you will be leading the way in shaping the transport infrastructure of Ireland, working on complex high-value proposals that drive positive change. With a strong background in rail and/or road scheme appraisal, local transport plan development or demand management / behaviour change projects, you will bring a wealth of experience to our thriving Transport Planning team.

This exciting opportunity allows you to join a multidisciplinary team of experts, collaborating with clients, stakeholders and cross-discipline teams to deliver successful projects. Your skills in project management, commercial responsibility, stakeholder engagement, business development and technical expertise will enable you to make a lasting impact in the transport sector.

Mission Objectives
  • Develop and deliver strategic transport plans for sustainable, low carbon projects across Ireland.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate subconsultants, joint venture partners and framework contracts to achieve project goals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring successful project delivery to time, cost and quality.
  • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with main client contacts, presenting high-level engagement and providing support in achieving work winning targets.
  • Raise the profile of our solutions through innovative communication strategies and thought leadership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic transport plans for complex, high-value projects.
  2. Project Management: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring successful project delivery to time, cost and quality.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and cross-discipline teams.
  4. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  5. Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, applying innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in a relevant subject, such as Economics or Civil Engineering.
  • Significant depth of Transport Planning experience, including appraisal, technical report writing, master planning, local transport plans and transport demand management.
  • Depth of project management experience, including client liaison and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with Transport Modelling tools and techniques would be an advantage.
  • Strong numerical and Excel skills.
