Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Position

The role of a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic involves conducting routine maintenance and servicing of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This includes diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on HGVs, as well as maintaining accurate records of work carried out.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting regular maintenance checks to identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Carrying out thorough diagnostics to pinpoint the source of mechanical or electrical faults
  • Maintaining detailed records of work completed and parts used
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety guidelines and company procedures
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as an HGV Mechanic or similar role
  • A solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy goods vehicles
  • Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications in vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
