Export Trade Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Export Trade Specialist. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of our export business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day Accounts Receivable activities, including period-end close and supporting business growth by evaluating and recommending strategies to mitigate business risk. This includes collections, credit holds, AR reporting, sales deductions, and bad debt provisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage AR ledger for export markets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate customer order release, including restricted markets and letter of credit customers.
  • Oversee customer collections and cash management applications.
  • Process refunds and write-offs, and manage direct customer engagement on AR activities.
  • Conduct AR analysis and reporting, and perform reconciliations related to AR-owned accounts.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Support ongoing initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform other miscellaneous administrative responsibilities and ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, with a strong accounting background.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with SAP knowledge an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
  • Flexibility and openness to change, with a focus on delivering results-driven solutions.
