Accounts Team Leader

As a seasoned accounts leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting team in a fast-paced environment. Your key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly payroll for 45+ staff, including timecard approval and input of hours.
  • Prepare payroll journal and process to nominal ledger.
  • Manage creditors ledger, including nominal coding and processing VAT.
  • Reconcile ledger balances to creditor statements.
  • Administer subcontractor invoices and track retentions held from subcontractors.
  • Maintain daily bank reconciliation for multiple accounts and credit cards.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and profit and loss reports with reconciliation of all balance sheet items.
  • Submit and reconcile taxes, including VAT and payroll taxes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years' experience in a similar role.
  • Part Qualified or Qualified accountant preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills essential.
