Job Title:

We are seeking a senior-level engineer to design cutting-edge optical systems.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prototype designs in an on-site manufacturing workshop to enable early testing and development of opto-mechanical systems.
  • Apply CAD design, closed-form calculations, finite element analysis (FEA) and prototyping to realize innovative solutions for opto-mechanical systems.
  • Develop novel solutions through creative approaches and improve existing systems.
  • Ensure mechanical designs meet space-grade standards and produce GD&T-controlled drawings and procedures.
  • Collaborate with managers to implement quality measures and standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical, aerospace, optical or related engineering fields.
  • B.Eng/M.Eng in Mechanical, Optical, Aerospace Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Understanding of early-stage prototyping and product development processes.
  • Experience with commercial CAD packages and simulation tools.
